Daniela Palitos
Daniela is a mother, art writer, maker who has a crazy crush for Carmen Miranda and the Modernists.
She was born in Lisbon, Portugal. After graduating in History of Art, she wrote for CNAP/CULT Art Magazine, Lisbon Cultural Guide – Online and has contributed with two book entries for the International Annual of Art, 2003 and 2005. In parallel, she has worked in the Archaeological Museum of São Miguel de Odrinhas in Sintra (Portugal) as a curatorial assistant, archivist and a museum educator.
Lived in London, where she collaborated as a photographer with a Spanish film company, and in South Africa. In 2011 moved to Australia, and a year later to Margaret River where she lives and works as a co-author of the Local Art Paper, and volunteers as a Art History Lecturer at the University of the Third Age (U3A).
One of the most exciting things she finds about the Local Art Paper is the opportunity to connect the artistic community of the Southwest region with other regional artistic communities. But what she really likes is to have a good and unpretentious art chat with her art buddy JB.

Jenny (Potts) Barr
Jenny is an artist, writer, business owner, mother, surfer, swimmer who grew up all over the place as an Australian Naval BRAT. Western Australia has been her home for the last 20 years.
She basically has two degrees in History- spanning from PreHistory through to Modern History and Art History with a practical major in Painting and Archaeology. She studied at the University of Western Australia and the National Art School in Darlinghurst, Sydney.
She has worked for several major institutions including The Maritime Archaeological Museum of Western Australia, The Australian National Maritime Museum and The Sir Hermann Black Gallery at the University of Sydney.
The importance of The Local Art Paper to her is the dialogue of art and inquiry she engages in with DP and the people they find who are of like minds. If she wasn’t stuck with Covid travel restrictions she would be chasing some Goyas , some Monets and Joy Hesters.
